Uttar Pradesh bans supply of ‘substandard’ vitamin A syrup, orders probe

Following the discovery of several ‘frozen’ samples of vitamin A syrup supplied by a drug manufacturer, the Uttar Pradesh Medical Supply Corporation has placed a ban on the use of four batches of the syrup. UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has ordered an inquiry into the matter.

Speaking to India Today, a UPMSC official said that as many as 6,200 bottles of Vitamin A syrup had been supplied by three drug manufacturers, out of which, the syrup supplied by JPee Drugs was found to have ‘frozen’ in the cold weather.
