Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over a ‘chadar’ (a ceremonial cloth) to Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju to offered at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah on the occasion of the Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, the revered 13th-century Sufi saint.

This act is a symbolic gesture of respect and reverence for the Sufi saint, observed annually.

The offering of the ‘chadar’ represents the nation’s homage to the saint’s teachings of love, peace, and harmony.
