An unidentified male body was retrieved from the river Jhelum near Pantha Chowk area of Central Kashmir Srinagar district on Monday.
An official told the news agency that an unidentified body was retrieved by the SDRF from the river Jhelum in Srinagar.
He said that the body was later handed over to the police for other necessary formalities.
He said that identification is being ascertained.
He added that police have taken cognisance of the matter and started investigation.
