“Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Railway Station” has been renamed as “Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Udhampur Railway Station.”
“In partial modification of Government Order No. 1120-JK(GAD) of 2023 dated September 14, 2023, sanction is hereby accorded to the renaming of “Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Railway Station” in district Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir as “Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Udhampur Railway Station,” read an order issued by GAD Commissioner Secretary Sanjeev Verma.
Captain Tushar Mahajan was an officer of 9 PARA (Special Forces of the Indian Army), who was killed while protecting other army personnel in a terror attack on JKEDI building in Pulwama in February 2016.
Captain Mahajan, who hailed from Udhampur, had killed the terrorist before laying down his life in the service of the motherland.
