Jammu and Kashmir: Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant members were detained in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla area on Friday, and two grenades and eight gun rounds were confiscated from their hands, according to police.

A police spokesman said that at a combined checkpoint set up at Sher Colony Tarzoo in the Sopore region of the north Kashmir state, security authorities captured two people who tried to leave after sighting the joint party.

He identified them as Darnambal Tarzoo residents Manzoor Ahmad Bhat and Tanveer Ahmad Lone.

The two are related to the banned terror group LeT, and during their search, two grenades, eight pistol rounds, and other incriminating items were discovered, according to the spokesman.

He stated that a case had been filed and that an investigation had begun.
