The accident involved a scooty driven by Javid Ahmad Gojri, 29, son of Mohd Ayoub Gojri from Watlar, which collided with a dog.
As a result of the collision, both Javid Ahmad Gojri and the pillion rider, Junaid Bashir Bhat, 27, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat from Lar Ganderbal, sustained injuries. They were immediately transported to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kangan for initial treatment.
Due to the severity of their injuries, both individuals were subsequently referred to the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Soura, Srinagar, for further medical attention.
Local authorities are investigating the incident.
