A police party of Police Post Babareshi on specific information regarding the presence of gamblers near Forest Hut Babareshi Crossing who were being involved in gambling.
Acting upon the information Police Party of Police Post Babareshi led by *PSI Shoaib Mohammad IC PP Babareshi* rushed towards and on noticing the police party they tried to flee from the spot but the alert police party chased them and we’re apprehended tactfully.
The arrested gamblers were identified as Showkat Ahmad Lone R/O Qazipora & Shabir Ahmad Dar R/O Pandithpora Bala Tangmarg. Playing cards along with stake money of ₹ 10570/-were recovered from them.
The case under sections of 13 Gambling Act was registered in Police Station Tangmarg and an investigation was taken up.
