Two persons died in a road accident in Sohanjana Tehsil of Phallian Mandal area of Jammu on the occasion of Lohri festival yesterday.
According to the report, the incident took place when took two vehicles bearing registration numbers ‘JK08F0233’ and ‘JK02CJ8823’ collided with each other on Ring road in Sohanjana Tehsil of Phallian Mandal in Jammu, following which two young people travelling in the Baleno car died on the spot and another man identified as Happy Kesar suffered wounds.
After the accident, when the accident victims were rushed to GMC, Jammu in Bakshi Nagar they were pronounced as brought dead on arrival by the doctors.
The deceased boy was identified as Mohit Bharti s/o Late Janak Raj (18) of Talli Morh , Jammu while the deceased 16-year-old girl is yet to be identified.
A case has been registered at Phallain Mandal police station in Jammu and an investigation was started.
