Twitter no more: Elon Musk says platform URL has officially shifted to x.com

It’s officially not Twitter anymore. It’s X. In a tweet post shared a few hours ago, Elon Musk has announced that all core systems of X, are now x.com. At the time of writing the story, we verified that the twitter.com URL is now being redirected to x.com. The new X login now also displays a message stating that the company is changing the URL, but privacy and data protection will remain intact.

Post 2022, when Musk took over Twitter, tweets were renamed to posts. He encouraged the audience to call them posts and the logo went on to become X. Even after changing several details, including rebranding the company, the mobile app, subscription based policy; Musk was still in the fight to change the platform URL.

In August 2023, the marketing copy declared, “The X app is the trusted digital town square for everyone.” The app has a new slogan, too: “Blaze your glory!”
