10 February (Gulistan News TV) Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated his controversial statement regarding buying and owning Gaza, emphasizing that the proposal remains unchanged. Speaking to journalists aboard his aircraft, Trump stated that portions of land in the Middle East could be allocated to facilitate reconstruction efforts. He assured that Palestinians would be taken care of and that their killings would not be allowed. He also expressed confidence that Middle Eastern nations would eventually agree to accommodate Palestinians.
Trump further announced plans to hold discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. He asserted that Gaza would be transformed into a hub for future development, while also mentioning a potential meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at an appropriate time.Additionally, Trump revealed that the U.S. would impose a 25% tariff on imported steel and aluminum, with an official declaration expected later today.
The statement follows Trump’s earlier declaration that the U.S. would take control of Gaza, claiming ownership to ensure stability and generate employment. He reiterated that he envisions long-term control over Gaza, promising development, job opportunities, and civilian resettlement. The announcement has sparked global backlash, with the United Nations and several countries opposing any forced displacement of Palestinians and urging adherence to a two-state solution.
