Trudeau’s flight faces technical snag in Delhi, departure delayed

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s flight faced a technical snag while trying to depart from Delhi on Sunday. The Canadian delegation which came to the national capital to attend the G20 Summit will stay in India till the engineering team on the ground rectifies the issue, an airport official told  news agency.

At a press briefing after the meeting, Trudeau said, “We are always there to prevent violence and to push back against hatred”. However, he added that Canada would “always defend freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, and freedom of peaceful protest”.

Trudeau also called India an “important partner to Canada” on issues of climate change and creating growth and prosperity for citizens. “There is always a lot of work to do and we will continue to do it,” said the Canadian Prime Minister.
