Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said India is a trinity of demography, democracy and diversity.
Speaking from the Red Fort on the 77th Independence Day, the prime minister said demography, democracy and diversity have the potential to realise all the dreams of the country.
India is the mother of democracy, PM Modi said.
“Our decisions and sacrifices in this period will impact the next 1000 years,” the prime minister said.
“India is marching ahead with new confidence and resolve,” he said.
“Demography, democracy and diversity have the potential to realise all the dreams of the country,” PM Modi said while addressing the nation from Red Fort.
“India is the mother of democracy, it is a model of diversity,” the prime minister said, adding, “We have to move forward taking into account the many diversities.”
Speaking of his governance and second term as the prime minister, PM Modi said, “In 2014, people decided to take the country forward and India was freed from an era of instability.”
Modi began his last Independence Day speech before the 2024 general election with, “My beloved 140 crore family members.” Throughout the speech, he referred to the people of the country as “parivaarjan (family members)”.
Addressing the nation on Independence Day for the 10th consecutive time as prime minister, Modi also said global experts are saying that India will not stop now.
