On the direction of District Election Officer Kargil, Tehsildar (AERO) Assistant Electoral Registration Officer, Shakar-Chiktan and SVEEP Kargil organized one-day training program for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of Tehsil Shakar-Chiktan in connection with Special Summary Revision (SSR) 2024 at Tehsil Office, Shakar-Chiktan.
Speaking on the occasion, Tehsildar, Shakar-Chiktan, Ghulam Rasool, who is also Assistant Electoral Officer (AERO), stressed on the ECI theme of “No Voters to be left behind” during SSR activities and focussed on the preparation of a healthy electoral roll to the BLOs and also directed not miss a single house during house-to-house verification which is beginning from 21.07.2023 and will continue up to 21.08.2023 as per the ECI direction and guidelines.
Regarding the rationalization of Polling Stations, AERO directed the BLOs to take consent from local representatives of the villages including Councilors, Sarpanch, Panch and political parties.
Tehsildar Shakar-Chiktan, Ghulam Rasool, Zonal Education Officer, Shakar-Chiktan, Mohd Ibrahim, BLO Supervisors, Booth Level Officers and officials of Tehsil Shakar-Chiktan, were present during the one-day training session.
