Srinagar, May 31(GulistanNews) : The Gurez-Bandipora road was closed on Saturday morning after fresh snowfall hit the Razdan Pass.
Nearly two inches of snow blanketed the high-altitude pass, following continuous rainfall across Bandipora and parts of the Kashmir Valley. The weather change also led to a significant drop in temperature in the region.
Taking precautionary measures, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Gurez ordered a temporary suspension of traffic. “Due to snowfall at Razdan Top and as a precautionary measure, movement on the Gurez-Bandipora road shall remain suspended till further orders,” read a statement from the SDM’s official account.
Authorities have urged commuters to monitor weather and traffic updates before planning travel on the route. (GulistanNews)
