Traffic on the Baramulla-Kupwara highway was restored after nothing suspicious was found inside the bag that was spotted in the Kralgund area of Handwara on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
A suspicious bag was found on the highway near Kralgund, following which joint teams of forces reached the spot along with a bomb disposal squad.
He said that traffic was halted and the movement of people was also restricted.
He said that traffic was restored after nothing suspicious was found in the bag.
