Traffic Drive Against Violators Intensifies in Srinagar

The Srinagar Traffic Police continued its strict enforcement drive against traffic violators on Thursday, under the supervision of DySP Traffic Mehboob ul Haq.

According to media drive, aimed at ensuring road safety and compliance with traffic regulations, focused on penalizing violators, including those driving without helmets, seat belts, or valid documents, and vehicles parked illegally on busy roads. Several violators were fined, and multiple vehicles were seized during the operation.

DySP Mehboob ul Haq stated that such drives are part of ongoing efforts to create a safer commuting environment for all road users. “We are committed to curbing traffic violations and ensuring that everyone adheres to the rules. These efforts are crucial for reducing accidents and congestion in the city,” he said.

The traffic police have urged the public to cooperate by following traffic laws and avoiding practices that disrupt smooth vehicular movement. Authorities have assured that similar enforcement drives will continue in the coming days to promote road safety across Srinagar.
