As Asia’s largest Tulip garden opened to the public on Saturday, the Traffic Department issued a route plan for commuters to ensure smooth passage for them.
Traffic officials stated, “Asia’s largest Tulip Garden has been opened to the public on March 23, 2024, and it is expected that a large number of tourists and local residents will visit the Tulip Garden and other gardens nearby.”
“Due to the expected influx of people, there is a possibility of congestion. To facilitate people and prevent slow movement, one-way traffic regulations will be implemented, especially on holidays, initially from March 24 (Sunday) till April 10, 2024.
Those planning to visit Tulip Garden should take the Lal Chowk-Dalgate-Boulevard/Gupkar Road to reach the garden. Upon returning, they should take the Nishat-Foreshore-Habak-Dargah-Khanyar route to their respective destinations.
Similarly, motorists intending to travel from Harwan-Shalimar-Nishat and other nearby areas to Lal Chowk are advised to take the Foreshore-Hazratbal route instead of the Nishat-Boulevard road axis.
Motorists planning to travel from Gulab Bagh-Zakoora-Naseembagh-Habbak and surrounding areas should take the Habak-Dargah-Khanyar route to reach Lal Chowk instead of the Foreshore Road.
Visitors are advised to park their vehicles only at designated parking areas and avoid roadside parking. Vehicles parked incorrectly will be towed away.
