Kargil : Tourism Department, Kargil in collaboration with Downhill Kargil, today observed World Bi-Cycle Day, 2023 and organized a cycle rally in Kargil.AD Tourism, Kargil, Agha Syed Toha, Tehsildar Kargil Kacho Asgar Ali, President and other officials of Downhill Kargil and around 30 cyclists participated in cycle rally.
On the occasion, all the cyclists thanked the Tourism Department and Downhill Kargil for giving them the opportunity to ride bicycle on this day. The cycle rally started from TFC to main market Kargil and vice-versa.
The cycle rally was aimed to encourage a pollution-free environment and promote sustainable and eco-friendly tourism in Kargil.
The theme for World Bicycle Day 2023 is “Riding Together for a Sustainable Future.”
In his address, AD Tourism talked about the importance of cycle rally in terms of pollution free transport and easy physical exercise.
AD tourism encouraged cyclists for choosing bicycle in adventures. He said cycling ensures environmental sustainability and recalls old means of transport.
Host from Downhill, Kargil, Fareeda Bano, thanked all the departments and participants for taking part in the celebration of World Bi-Cycle Day, 2023.
This day helps promote the use of bicycles and contributes to a cleaner environment.
