The recent hockey workshop for toddlers, jointly organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKSC) and the Badal Hockey Club, witnessed an extraordinary turnout, with young aspiring athletes and their parents participating enthusiastically. The workshop aimed to introduce the basics of hockey to toddlers, fostering a love for the sport from an early age. Under the guidance of senior players from the Badal Hockey Club, the little ones learned fundamental skills such as dribbling, passing, and teamwork.
The workshop emphasised the importance of physical activity, discipline, and sportsmanship. Parents and guardians actively supported the initiative, recognizing the value of sports in holistic child development. “We are thrilled that our children had the opportunity to learn from experienced players. Hockey is not just a game; it teaches life skills and builds character,” expressed Sajad, a parent. The JKSC provided excellent infrastructure, ensuring a safe and conducive environment for the toddlers. The commitment of senior players from the Badal Hockey Club was commendable as they patiently guided the little ones through their first hockey experiences.
