Tiger Division established “Youth Empowerment Centre” in Gangyal, Jammu

Tiger Division of Indian Army Rising Star Corps facilitated in establishment of a “Youth Empowerment Centre’ at Gangyal in Jammu, to raise the awareness and facilitate constructive engagement of youth in the society. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Brig NR Pandey, Commander Tiger Artillery Brigade, Ms Nuzhat Gull, Secretary J&K Sports Council, Shri Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor, JMC, other civil dignitaries and gathering of locals including youth.

The initiative of establishing Youth Empowerment centre was conceptualized in coordination with civil administration through Jammu Municipal Corporation. The Youth Empowerment center is designed for the conduct of various Skill Development courses, events, lectures and other youtj oriented events for the empowerment of the local youth in Jammu. In addition, the venue will be used to conduct de-addiction drives to promote awareness against drug abuse.

Speaking on the occasion, Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor, JMC expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for this noble initiative and also appreciated the efforts being made by the Indian Army to shape the future of the youth of this country. He also thanked Tiger Division and Tiger Gunners for being always there for the people and youth of Jammu. Brig NR Pandey, Commander, Tiger Artillery Brigade reassured audience and civil dignitaries that the Indian Army always stand shoulder to shoulder in undertaking the development initiatives for the youth of the region. Nuzhat Gull, Secretary J&K Sports Council, appreciated the Indian Army for undertaking multi-faceted initiatives for the people in rural and urban areas and also assured of contribution from J&K Sports Council towards the Youth Empowerment centre, Gangyal.

This Empowerment Centre will be a valuable addition for the youth in the region making a key difference in shaping their future by providing assistance in result oriented areas.
