Three women among four drug peddlers held in Jammu; heroin, sharp weapons seized

Jammu and Kashmir Police under Operation Sanjeevani conducted a major operation in Bishnah, arresting four notorious drug peddlers including three women and recovered 40.5 grams of heroin along with sharp-edged weapons.

The accused, identified as: Parveen Kumar @Pinna, S/o Dev Raj. Rekha Kumari @Kajal D/o Anil Kumar. Jyoti Bala @Ramta, W/o Ram Pal. Rashmi Langeh W/o Sunny Kumar all residents of Village Chorli, Bishnah, Jammu— were apprehended while targeting innocent youth of the area.

A case FIR No. 203/2024 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigations are underway.

The arrested individuals were part of a network responsible for drug distribution, which has caused tragic overdoses in the region.

The operation, led by SHO Police Station Bishnah, was executed under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.
