Three drug peddlers Arrested : J&K Police

Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested three drug peddlers in Baramulla, Sopore and Pulwama district of Kashmir and recovered Contraband substances from their possession.

In Baramulla, a police spokesperson said, “During the search, 50 grams of contraband Charas-like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Sultan Wani resident of Chountpathri Tangmarg. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Tangmarg where he remains in custody,” he said in a statement.

“In Pulwama, a police party led by SHO Police Station Kakapora at a checkpoint established near Railway Crossing intercepted a suspicious person who tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully. During the search, Brown Sugar-like substance concealed in a polythene bag and a digital weighing machine was recovered from his possession. “In Sopore, police received a specific input about possession of narcotics substance by one Muhammad Altaf Dar son of Ghulam Qadir Dar resident of Mumkak, Sopore. On receipt of this information, a Police party led by SHO PS Sopore, under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS, executed a meticulously planned raid at the residence of the said accused.
