On Saturday in Kalyan, located in Thane district, three individuals were apprehended for purportedly murdering the live-in partner of one of the accused’s sisters. The victim’s body was reportedly disposed of in the Ulhas river, according to a statement from a law enforcement official.
The body of Shebaz Sheikh (28) has yet to be located, as indicated by an official from the Khadakpada police station.
The official stated, “Sheikh had been in a live-in relationship with Mumtaz, a divorcee, for the last four years. He was reported missing on Friday, leading the investigation to focus on Mumtaz’s siblings Shoeb Sheikh and Irshad Sheikh, as well as another individual identified as Hemant Bichwade.”
It is alleged that Shebaz was fatally struck with a hammer by the accused, as he had frequent disagreements with Mumtaz, the official further added.
