The series features Jo Woo-jin, Ji Chang-wook, Ha Yun-kyung, and Bibi in the main roles

Disney+ has announced the premiere date for its upcoming original series Gangnam B-Side and released a gripping teaser that has already captured viewers’ attention. The crime drama, directed and written by Park Noo-ri, follows the intertwined lives of a detective, a prosecutor, and a mysterious broker as they each pursue leads in a case centred around Gangnam’s underworld. The plot revolves around their search for Jae Hee, the missing ace of a prominent Gangnam club.

Park Noo-ri, known for directing the hit film Money, brings his expertise to this highly anticipated series, which promises an intense and captivating viewing experience. The cast includes Jo Woo-jin, Ji Chang-wook, Ha Yun-kyung, and BIBI (Kim Hyung-seo), delivering performances that heighten the series’ suspense.

The newly released teaser showcases a stark contrast between the day and night in Gangnam. It opens with a quiet, monochromatic cityscape before transitioning into vibrant, chaotic visuals. Accompanied by the phrase, “The world they play in beneath the world we live in,” the teaser hints at the dual realities coexisting in Gangnam, further intensifying curiosity about the complex narrative.

A key moment in the trailer features a voice stating, “Gangnam is in chaos because of you. Everyone is just looking for Jae Hee,” as the character Jae Hee, played by BIBI, is seen wandering through dark streets in a state of fear.

The teaser also introduces the show’s main characters, each carrying their own secrets. Jo Woo-jin plays detective Kang Dong-woo, who returns to Gangnam to solve the case. His portrayal promises a layered and realistic character who adds depth to the unfolding mystery.

Ji Chang-wook, fresh off his role in Welcome to Samdal-ri and Queen Woo, undergoes a complete transformation to play Yoon Gil-ho, a lawless broker who becomes a prime suspect in the investigation. Ha Yun-kyung, recently seen in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, takes on the role of Min Seo-jin, a prosecutor determined to solve the case as a means of advancing her career.

BIBI, known for her music and acting talents, portrays Jae Hee, the club’s top performer whose disappearance triggers the investigation. Her role as the missing ace is central to the story, and her portrayal is expected to bring both vulnerability and intensity to the narrative.
