Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh, while welcoming Prime Minister Modi, expressed that the assembled gathering is akin to PM Modi’s family, eagerly awaiting since morning to catch a glimpse of him. “They know you understand the pain in their hearts, which is why they are here,” he remarked.

He emphasised that PM Modi has uplifted people from helplessness and transformed their fate, bestowing upon them new dreams. “The hands once holding guns now embracing iPads and computers.”

Reflecting on the decades-old turmoil in Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Jitendra remarked that fingers once soaked in blood are now skillfully weaving pashmina threads. He expressed optimism, stating that clouds of sorrow have dispersed, and the Jhelum river now flows with waves of hope.

Dr Jitendra reiterated the commitment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to assist Modi in building a developed Jammu and Kashmir and a prosperous India.
