Rajouri | June 10, 2025 – Security forces achieved a significant breakthrough on Tuesday after busting a terrorist hideout in the remote Darra Barachara village of Thanamandi area in Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a joint team of police and the Indian Army launched a coordinated search operation in the dense forest area. During the operation, the forces unearthed a well-concealed hideout believed to have been used recently by militants.

According to officials, the team recovered 10 Under Barrel Grenade Launchers (UBGLs) from the site. In addition, a damaged ammunition box, a blanket, plastic tarpaulin, two medicine packets, utensils, and other daily use items were also seized.

The recovery of such a large cache of weapons suggests the hideout may have been part of a logistics chain used to support militant activities in the region.

While no arrests have been made so far, a search operation in the surrounding areas is ongoing, and efforts are being made to identify those associated with the hideout.

Officials said that the seizure has averted potential terror threats and reaffirmed the commitment of forces to maintain peace and security in Rajouri and adjoining areas.
