A landlord was allegedly assaulted by his tenant when asked to vacate his property at Vishal Nagar in Talab Tillo area of Jammu city. A case FIR NO. 7/2024 U/S 307 has been registered at Talab Tillo police station and a probe is on.
The landowner, Sunil s/o Bittu Ram s/o Chunni Lal who hails from J&K’s Kishtwar rented out his house to two tenants who belonged to Uttarakhand state. The incident took place when Bittu Ram sent his son to his property in Talab Tillo to ask his tenants to vacate his residence but then accused Shashi allegedly attacked his son with a knife, following which he has been hospitalised at GMC, Jammu.
The accused have been identified as Radha Bisht w/o Deepak Kumar r/o Uttarakhand and Shashi s/o Sateshwar r/o Uttarakhand at present Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu. The accused persons have been living as tenants from past 10-15 years at the victim’s property.
