Srinagar, April 14 (Gulistan News TV): In a meaningful celebration of Sajna Divas of the Khalsa Panth, Team Youth Empowerment Society (YES), a registered trust, organized a plantation drive at Gurudwara Guru Nanak Charan Asthan in Beerwah, Budgam district of central Kashmir. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about the importance of planting trees and their vital role in combating climate change.
Speaking to the media, Ajeetpal Singh, Treasurer of Team YES expressed the essence of the event, stating, “This Sajna Divas of Khalsa Panth, let us root our joy in the soil by planting greenery along the Gurdwara boundary as a tribute to nature and a step toward a greener future.”
Punitpal Singh, a founding member of Team YES, stressed the importance of the initiative, saying, “The goal is to inspire people to plant trees, raise awareness about their significance and provide an educational service to all members of our society by hosting tree-planting activities.”
Highlighting the spiritual and ecological significance, Balwinder Singh an advisor board member of Team YES, remarked, “The world will always reward us if we cultivate a sense of duty for it. The more we give, the more we will get back, be it through trees or other contributions to nature.”
The plantation drive saw enthusiastic participation from various members of Team YES, including Treasurer Ajeetpal Singh, Advisor Balwinder Singh, Founding Member Punitpal Singh, Taranpreet Singh, Angat Singh, Sajhpreet Singh, Taranjot Singh, Harleen Kour and several other volunteers. Together, they planted saplings along the boundary of the Gurudwara, spreading a powerful message of environmental stewardship and community involvement.
