CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Thursday (April 18) extensively talked about the target killings and the forthcoming LoK Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Responding about the media query on yesterday’s Nazi style target killing in Anantnag of Bihar native man, CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami said, “It is very unfortunate because a human has been killed not a non-local person. He might have come here for work. It doesn’t matter from where he is what most matters is a human died. For which sin he was killed, it is very shameful, painful and sorrowful. It should not happen”.
“Whosoever has taken birth that person has the right to go anywhere to earn daily bread as so many local people are going to other states for work. The people who are responsible for these killings are not loyal, sympathetic to anyone nor of Kashmiris. It defames Kashmir and due to which I have no words to condemn it but I want to appeal to police and local regime to investigate this killing and to punish the criminals according to the law. There are elections that are going to be held and in these times people of different opinions will participate.”, He said.
“We cannot live forever with differences as today there are elections people have chances to represent themselves among people and also their manifestos as after five years people are getting a chance to make decisions as provided by the constitution to choose a new parliament. I just have this appeal this election is very precious. Target killing is an effort to inculcate fear among people. These elections are going to be conduct after such a time when the rights of J&K people were played with. The voters must vote for their rights, employment and against oppression, suppression, it is my request. The PADG has not remained for political alliance but their is electoral alliance one is of NDA of the incumbent dispensation and the other is INDIA alliance, so there are two alliances, while the rest is with the voters”.
