Srinagar, 28 January(Gulistan News Tv): During the Gulistan News Badalta Jammu and Kashmir Conclave, CPIM senior leader and MLA Kulgam Mohd Yousuf Tarigami, strongly reacted to the reorganization and delimitation processes that have taken place in Jammu and Kashmir following the 2019 changes.

Tarigami criticized the reorganization, calling it a deliberate disruption of Jammu and Kashmir’s unity.

“Our historic state was dismantled under the guise of reorganization, and now our unity has been shattered. The delimitation process was carried out with no regard for fairness, where the population was higher, fewer seats were allotted and where the population was lower, seat allocation was increased,” he said.

Tarigami pointed out that the delimitation process, which was supposed to be unbiased, had instead been manipulated to suit political interests.

“What was supposed to be a fair delimitation under the commission’s guidelines was instead controlled by the government, with seats distributed according to their own agenda. The people of Jammu and Kashmir were left without a fair say in their own future,” he added.
