Calls Centres Foreign Delegation a ‘Fill-in-the-Blanks Exercise’ to Distract from Ceasefire Failures

Srinagar, June 02 (Gulistan News): The Jammu and Kashmir Congress President Tariq Hameed Karra has said the government is responsible for ensuring foolproof security during the upcoming Amarnath Yatra and Mela Kheer Bhawani.

He praised the local Kashmiri Muslim community for their role in supporting these religious events peacefully.

Talking to the Gulistan News Corrospondant Imran Naikoo on key issues, Karra said, “Only the government can answer what security measures have been taken. But history shows that locals have always stood by these Yatras and shown respect.”

He pointed out that many key roles during the Amarnath Yatra, such as pony handlers and stick sellers, are managed by Muslims. “From our side, it has always been safe, is safe and will remain safe,” Karra added.

Karra also noted that militant attacks on the route are matters between the government and militants, and ordinary citizens cannot comment on them with certainty.

When asked about the Centre’s foreign outreach, Karra criticized all-party delegations sent abroad, calling them a “fill-in-the-blanks exercise” aimed at diverting attention from failures on issues like ceasefire and the Pahalgam situation.

“The government spends crores on building India’s global image, but when support was needed, no country stood by India. It is a total embarrassment.” said karra

Karra also questioned the government’s conflicting statements on military actions, saying reports from the US talk about a ceasefire, while Indian officials say attacks target training camps.

Karra challenged the BJP’s PoK narrative and stated, “You built a narrative around bringing PoK back, so what happened to that promise?”.
