SSP Poonch visits Border Areas of Balakote and Mankote Mendhar.

Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch, Sh Shafket Hussain JKPS conducted an extensive visit to the border areas from BG (Bhimber Gali) to Balakote and Mankote Mendhar to review the security arrangements in place. The visit was aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the residents living in these sensitive areas and boosting the morale of the Police and other security forces deployed along the border.

During his visit, SSP Poonch interacted with the Army and police officers deployed along the fence and at the nearest police posts and Border Police Posts (BPP). He reviewed the current security scenario, focusing on the measures taken to counter infiltration attempts, cross-border threats, and other security challenges.

Interacting with the officers SSP Poonch emphasized the importance of maintaining high levels of alertness and coordination between the Army and the Police to ensure a robust security grid. He lauded their dedication and commitment for safeguarding the border area and assured them of full support in addressing operational and logistical challenges.

The SSP also held discussions with local Police to assess the ground realities and review contingency plans. He stressed the need for proactive measures to prevent any untoward incidents.

Furthermore, SSP Shafket Hussain extended his gratitude to the local population for their cooperation and resilience in supporting the efforts of the security forces. He assured the community that the Police and Army remain committed to their safety and well-being.

The visit concluded with an inspection of key installations in the region, reiterating the commitment of law enforcement agencies to maintaining peace and stability in the border areas.
