Doda, 10 June : Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda visited the far-off Bal Padri area today to assess the security situation, review existing security measures, and interacted with local stakeholders. Notably Padri area of Bhaderwah of district Doda carries its boundaries with neighbouring state of Himachal Pardesh.
During the visit, the SSP held interaction with the nomads and other shopkeepers and gauged their security concerns. He assessed the deployment of security personnel and reviewed patrol strategies and issued directions to enhance security, maintain law and order, and address emerging challenges. He was accompanied by Additional SP Bhaderwah Vinod Kumar, SDPO Bhaderwah Shokat Ali and other officers.
Following the visit, the SSP held a comprehensive crime meeting with officers at Bhaderwah police station focusing on reviewing crime trends, statistics, and patterns. He Discussed strategies to combat crime, including intelligence-led operations and Issued directives to improve policing, enhance community engagement, and strengthen investigation mechanisms.
The SSP emphasized the importance of proactive policing, community partnership, and effective use of technology to ensure public safety.
During meeting all under investigation cases of current year and backlog cases were discussed with IOs and necessary instructions/directions were issued to expedite investigation, ensure quality investigation and maximum disposal. SSP Doda emphasized upon the officers to ascertain forward/backward links in NDPS cases to reach its dead end and habitual offenders of NDPS be identified for their detention under PSA, besides initiating proceedings for the attachment of their property. In UAPA cases, SSP Doda directed the IOs to collect circumstantial/electronic evidences and complete the investigations on merit and submit the cases for judicial determination. Directiond were also given to the supervisory officers and IOs to keep surveillance over suspects, drug addicts, OGWs and trouble creators, evil designers, rumor mongers and take preventive action to keep Law and order maintained at any cost. The officers also briefed on CCTNS front, use of e-Sakshya and e-Summons was also taken up during the meeting and directions were issed for timely execution of e-Summon with a commitment to streamline the progress and reduce delays. Progress on mandatory utilization of FSL services and MedleaPR was also discussed. All IOs were directed to sent all MLC/postmortem reports to the concerned Hospital through the portal and also obtained results through Ruka on MedLeaPR portal.
The meeting underscored the district police’s commitment to maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and protecting citizens’ rights.
