Public Cooperation Vital for Smooth Flow: SSP

Srinagar, June 04 (Gulistan News) : Special arrangements have been made to manage traffic congestion in Srinagar City ahead of Eid-ul-Adha.

Speaking to Gulistan News, SSP Traffic Ajaz Ahmad Bhat stated, “ this Eid brings extra traffic challenges compared to Eid-ul-Fitr, mainly due to the sheep markets, especially around Eid-gaah in Downtown Srinagar. Heavy crowds gather to buy sheep, causing congestion. We’ve deployed extra personnel and are using all available resources to manage the situation. We request the public to cooperate with traffic arrangements.”

“Traffic is gradually increasing, manageable for now as Eid-ul-Adha approaches on Saturday. Due to limited road infrastructure and ongoing development work, diversions are necessary. Traffic behavior changes between morning and evening, so different arrangements are required. These adjustments will continue until the infrastructure improves” Bhat said.

He urges Commuters to follow traffic updates, and cooperate with on-duity personnel to ensure safer and smoother travel he added. (Gulistan News)
