On Monday, a special police officer (SPO) in the Kupwara area of North Kashmir passed away from a catastrophic cardiac attack.

An official said that the SPO identified as Bashir Ahmad Sofi son of Gulam Qadir a resident of Sohipora Hyhama posted at DPL Kupwara died due to cardiac arrest .

He said that further proceedings in this regard have been taken up.
