Special Lok Adalat for consumer cases held across J&K
The Special Lok Adalat for consumer cases was held across Jammu and Kashmir and 14 cases were resolved while Rs 42.94 lakh settled.
An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that as a part of calendar of activities for the year 2023 prepared by J&K Legal Services Authority, a Special Lok Adalat was organised throughout J&K yesterday under the leadership of Justice N Kotiswar Singh, Chief Justice, High Court of J&K and Ladakh and Patron-in-Chief.
J&K Legal Services Authority and under the able guidance of Justice Tashi Rabstan, Executive Chairman, J&K Legal Services Authority as well as Justice Sindhu Sharma, Chairperson, High Court Legal Services Committee.
Out of the total 114 consumer cases that were taken up in the Special Lok Adalat 14 cases were settled amicably and finally disposed of with settlement amount of Rs. 42,93,637.
