Special Cell for Women, Kargil in collaboration with Ladakh Police today conducted its second outreach program at Govt. Model Degree College, Zanskar.
The program started with the welcoming of guests like Dorjay Gyaltsen, SHO Zanskar, Diskit Ladol, SHO Women Police Station, Kargil and Haseena Batool, Social Worker Special Cell, Kargil with traditional Khataks by Prof. MNM Shabani, Principal GMDC, Zanskar.
The SHO Zanskar gave an overview of the program and requested the students to make the program engaging and interactive.
Diskit Ladol, SHO Women Police Station, Kargil delivered a talk on gender inequality and gave many examples from Ladakh. She advised students to be vocal about their rights and raise their voices against any kind of injustice and harassment they face in society.
Haseena Batool also gave a detailed presentation on gender sensitization followed by the screening of a movie titled “The Impossible Dream”. The program concluded with vote of thanks by Dr Jamphel Sheyan.
