Social activist Sonam Wangchuk backed the mass protest in Ladakh demanding statehood and said people have become very restless after nothing materialised despite series of talks.
In an exclusive interview , Wangchuk said, “30,000 people came out which is unprecedented in the history of Ladakh.”
The engineer, innovator and education reformist said that people came out on the streets to tell the government that it’s not the voice of one person but the whole Ladakh. He also stressed on how certain lobbies backed by some local leaders do not want Ladakh to be safeguarded under the sixth schedule.
