SIA raids police man’s residence in Jammu
A team of State Investigation Agency (SIA) yesterday raided the house of a Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) police man in Satwari Belicharana area in Jammu.
The police person was identified as Saif Din, s/o Qasim Din, resident of Bhalessa in Gandoh of Doda district at present Javed Nagar, Beli Charana. He is presently deployed in Kashmir.
“SIA team led by an Inspector rank officer reached here at 11 am and the search operation continued for one hour,” official sources stated.
A senior police official, when contacted by a J&K based news agency, said, “Yes, a team had come but this matter pertained to SIA so the appropriate authorities to answer any question pertaining to details about this operation would be SIA officials.”
Though SIA had not issued any official statement in this connection till late this evening yet sources said that the raids related to a case of terror financing wherein three persons including a former minister were charge-sheeted last year in September.
