The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Two Holy Mosques has officially confirmed the appointment of Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly, esteemed imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, to lead the Eid Al-Adha prayers and deliver the Eid sermon this year.

The Eid prayers are scheduled to take place at 5:52 a.m. on Friday, June 6. On the same day, pilgrims will begin arriving at the Grand Mosque to perform Tawaf Al-Ifadah, one of the essential rites of Hajj, marking the Day of Sacrifice.

In a related development, a royal decree has appointed Sheikh Saleh Bin Humaid, a prominent Saudi scholar, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, and imam of the Grand Mosque, to lead the prayers and deliver the sermon on the Day of Arafat, which precedes Eid Al-Adha.

Massive arrangements are underway to ensure the smooth performance of rituals and prayers, as millions of pilgrims continue to gather in the holy city for Hajj 2025.
