Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ is poised to hit theaters worldwide in just one day. On Wednesday, film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan took to Twitter or X to provide an update on the film’s advance bookings. He revealed that the action-packed movie has already garnered an impressive ₹51.17 crore in global pre-release earnings.

Interestingly, ‘Jawan’ has already surpassed the opening day advance booking of ₹32 crore in India that was achieved by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s blockbuster film ‘Pathaan,’ which released in January and amassed a whopping ₹1000 crore worldwide.

Manobala Vijayabalan tweeted, “Breaking News: ‘Jawan’ crosses the half-century mark in global pre-release earnings. Advance sales for Day 1 in India – ₹32.47 crore, and overseas – ₹18.70 crore [$2.25 million, as reported locally]. Total worldwide pre-release earnings – ₹51.17 crore. Additionally, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ outpaces ‘Pathaan’ in advance bookings within India.”

He also shared that ‘Jawan’ has already sold 3,91,000 tickets in multiplexes alone. It was reported earlier on Tuesday that the film had sold over 7 lakh tickets in India.

Manobala Vijayabalan mentioned in another tweet on Wednesday, “Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ now ranks among the top 5 films with the highest advance bookings in multiplexes, with 3,91,000 tickets sold. The top 10 Day 1 advance bookings at national multiplexes include titles like ‘Baahubali 2’ – 6,50,000, ‘Pathaan’ – 5,56,000, ‘KGF Chapter 2’ – 5,15,000, ‘War’ – 4,10,000, ‘Jawan’ – 3,91,000, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ – 3,46,000, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ – 3,40,000, ‘Bharat’ – 3,16,000, ‘Sultan’ – 3,10,000, and ‘Dangal’ – 3,05,000.”

Anticipation is running high for the box office performance of ‘Jawan.’ In an interview prior to its release, industry experts predicted a global opening of ₹100 crore for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer. They also suggested that the film could easily surpass ‘Pathaan’s’ first-day figures in the domestic market and achieve a total of ₹60 crore in India (across all languages). Furthermore, they anticipated that the movie could reach a global box office collection of ₹300 crore by the end of the weekend, with the potential to continue earning ₹100 crore per day thereafter.

About ‘Jawan,’ it will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages on September 7. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu, and Ridhi Dogra, among others. Directed by Atlee and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Shah Rukh Khan has been actively promoting the film, participating in events in Chennai and Dubai, as well as seeking blessings at various temples across the country.
