Sensex Concludes FY23 with 1,031-Point Increase

On Friday, the last day of the 2022-23 fiscal year, both Sensex and Nifty saw a nearly 2% increase, supported by strong trends in global markets and new foreign fund inflows, contributing to the positive sentiment in the equity market.

On Friday, the Sensex and Nifty saw an increase of almost 2%, following a positive trend in global markets and fresh inflows of foreign funds. The Sensex closed at 58,991.52, up 1,031.43 points, while the Nifty rose by 279.05 points to end at 17,359.75, as per the latest reports.

Sun Pharma, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, and Titan were among the stocks that performed poorly, while markets in Seoul, Japan, Shanghai, and Hong Kong ended the day with gains.

During the afternoon trade, European markets were recording gains. On Thursday, the US markets closed with positive returns.
