The apex court has said that the Supreme Court will hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking a probe into the murder of gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother, Ashraf, in police custody on April 24.
Three shooters, Arun Kumar Maurya, Lovelesh Tiwari, and Sunny Singh, came disguised as media persons and gunned down gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother, Ashraf, using Zigana pistols in police custody when they were being taken for a medical examination from a Prayagraj last Saturday night. The entire incident was caught on camera. They had stopped for a bit to answer questions.
