In 2020, actor Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered deceased at his residence in Mumbai. On the third anniversary of his passing, actress Sara Ali Khan, who made her debut alongside Sushant in the film Kedarnath, shared behind-the-scenes photos from the movie set and expressed her heartfelt emotions.
Sara posted two behind-the-scenes images from the film’s shooting. One captured Sushant and her sitting together in what appeared to be a helicopter on their way to Kedarnath, both smiling at the camera. The second photo showed Sara and Sushant seated beside each other on a hill, with Sara engrossed in reading and preparing her script. In the caption, Sara wrote, “Heading to Kedarnath for the first time. Going to shoot for the first time. And I know neither will ever feel the same again. But amidst the action, cuts, sunrises, rivers, clouds, moonlight, Kedarnath, and Allah Hoo, I know you’re there. Keep shining among the stars. From Kedarnath to Andromeda.”
Kedarnath revolved around the love story between a reserved Muslim porter played by Sushant and a rebellious daughter of a Hindu priest portrayed by Sara. Their love faced challenges amidst the fury of nature caused by the flash floods in Uttarakhand in 2013. The film was directed by Abhishek Kapoor, and Sara received a Filmfare award for Best Debut for her performance.

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away in June 2020 and was found deceased at his residence in Bandra. His final film appearance was in Dil Bechara, released later that year.
