On Wednesday, Samsung held its Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event in Seoul, the capital of South Korea where the company is headquartered. During this major tech event, Samsung unveiled several key products, with a focus on its latest smartphones to strengthen its market position.

Notably, the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event took place months ahead of Apple’s announcement of its latest iPhone 15 lineup, along with new iPad and Watch series.

Here are the main products that Samsung showcased at the prestigious event in Seoul:

Galaxy Z Flip 5: The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is the successor to the Flip 4 series launched in the previous year. This modern smartphone is even thinner than its predecessor and features an improved hinge design. Additionally, it boasts a larger cover display measuring 3.4 inches, enhancing the selfie-taking experience with its top-line main camera. The Z Flip 5 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets. It comes in Mint, Lavender, Cream, and Graphite color options. Samsung introduces the FlexCam, which allows for better selfie shots, and users can swipe the camera icon to start recording with the FlexCam feature. The price for the Z Flip 5 is set at $999, with the India price yet to be announced.

Galaxy Z Fold 5: The Galaxy Z Fold 5 features a 7.6-inch screen and is both lighter and thinner than its predecessor. It includes a larger vapor chamber, optimizing heat management during gaming or multitasking. The smartphone also utilizes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets, ensuring an exceptional gaming experience. With a big screen, the Z Fold 5 delivers a mobile movie theatre experience, complemented by a pro-grade camera. It measures 13.4mm in thickness and weighs 253 grams, making it slimmer, lighter, and highly portable. The device boasts a 4,400 mAh dual battery system, coupled with an advanced processor. Multitasking is enhanced, allowing users to keep three windows open on one screen. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 comes with a price tag of $1,799.

Galaxy Watch 6: Samsung also revealed its latest Galaxy Watch 6 lineup, featuring a 20 percent larger and 30 percent slimmer design. The smartwatch has been redesigned with a more streamlined watch form, ensuring comfortable wearability. The timeless circular design adds to its lightweight appeal. The Galaxy Watch 6 comes equipped with a Fall Detection feature that prompts the user to ask for help in case of a fall. For other emergencies, pressing the home button five times sends an SOS to emergency services. The watch straps can be easily detached with a hand release button. The watch’s Sapphire Crystal Glass provides durability, and the processor is 18 percent faster, with a battery that lasts up to 40 hours. Health features include Sleep tracker, period cycle tracker, and heart monitoring, along with the capability to measure and track blood pressure directly from the wrist.

Galaxy Watch 6 Classic: The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic boasts a 15 percent thinner bezel and an increased screen size to achieve an aesthetically pleasing display-to-bezel ratio. Similar to the Galaxy Watch 6, it features Sapphire Crystal Glass for added durability. The Classic version offers an 18 percent faster CPU speed and an all-day battery life. Users can pair the watch with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 to take selfies. Health tracking features such as Sleep tracker, period cycle tracker, and heart monitoring are also included, similar to the Galaxy Watch 6.

Galaxy Tab S9: Samsung also announced updates to its premium tablet lineup, including the 11-inch, 12.4-inch, and 14.6-inch tablets known as the Tab S9, Tab S9, and S9 Ultra. These tablets come with the largest AMOLED displays that are more durable and water-resistant. They utilize Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets. Users can choose between Graphite and Beige color options. The tablet features a 12 MP front wide and 12 MP front ultra-wide camera, along with an 8 MP main ultra-wide and 13 MP main wide camera. The audio experience is enhanced with immersive sound from the quad AKG speaker system and Dolby Atmos surround sound.
