Samsung Unveils Galaxy F34: Affordable 5G Device with Powerful Features

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy F34 in India, following the earlier launches of the Galaxy M34 in July and the Galaxy A34 in May. While sharing visual similarities with its counterparts carrying the “34” designation, this new device stands out for its relatively more affordable pricing, all while offering 5G connectivity. The Galaxy F34 is equipped with a substantial 6,000mAh battery, ensuring an extended backup lasting up to two days. Prominent features include a triple-camera setup on the rear, Dolby Atmos speakers, and a commitment to providing four years of Android updates.

The Samsung Galaxy F34 5G comes with an initial price tag of Rs 18,999 for the base variant, which offers 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The higher-end version, featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, is priced at Rs 20,999. The smartphone is available for pre-orders through various avenues including Flipkart, the official Samsung website, and select retail stores. The official sale is slated to commence on August 11th, with the Galaxy F34 5G offered in Electric Black and Mystic Green color options.

Additionally, ICICI Bank credit card holders can take advantage of a no-cost EMI plan starting at Rs 2,111, and both ICICI and Kotak Bank cardholders can avail an instant discount of Rs 1,000.

Turning to specifications, details of the Samsung Galaxy F34 were disclosed ahead of its official launch. The smartphone boasts a 6.4-inch Full-HD AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness reaching 1000 nits. The display’s durability is reinforced with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5. At the rear, the device incorporates a triple-camera system, featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front of the device houses a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

Driving the device is an Exynos 1280 SoC and a substantial 6,000mAh battery, capable of delivering up to two days of usage with moderate use. Notably, the charging brick is not included in the package. Additional key features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, and USB Type-C connectivity.

The Samsung Galaxy F34 5G runs on Android 13-based OneUI 5.1 out of the box, with Samsung pledging four years of major Android OS updates and five years of security updates.

As is customary with Samsung devices, the Galaxy F34 5G comes pre-equipped with in-house applications for managing Samsung wearables. Notably, Samsung has recently updated its Wallet app, which facilitates the tokenization and storage of credit and debit cards for enhanced digital convenience. The device also incorporates Knox security support and, as its name implies, is primed for 5G capabilities.
