Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor, Samba Police has arrested a bootlegger and recovered twenty four bottles of illicit liquor of 180 ml each from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh.
Acting on a tip-off about sale of illicit liquor in Govind Garh area, a police party of Police Station Ramgarh headed by SHO PS Ramgarh rushed to the spot and caught red-handed the accused person from his own ‘Khokha’ selling illicit liquor to the general public in the area and recovered 24 bottles of JK Special Whisky of 180 ml each from his possession.
The accused person identified as Hardev Singh S/o Tasveer Singh R/o Govind Garh has been arrested.
A case FIR No. 21/2024 u/s 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered against him in Police Station Ramgarh.
