Samba Police apprehends hardcore Burglar

Samba police yesterday has solved a jewellery burglary case of in Vijaypur by nabbing a hardcore thief and recovering gold & silver ornaments worth rupees four lakh approx. and 22.580 thousand cash from his possession.
The arrested hardcore thief has been identified as Davinder Singh s/o Ashok r/o Rakh Amb Talli, district Samba.
A case FIR No. 177/2023 u/s 454, 380 IPC stand registered at Police Station Vijaypur on the complaint of one Ravi Kant s/o Madan Gopal r/o Ferozabad (UP) A/P Vijaypur and investigation is underway.
The arrested accused happens to be a hardcore burglar involved in several theft cases including: case FIR No. 241/2021 u/s 454/380 IPC of PS Samba, FIR No. 281/2023 u/s 454/380 IPC of PS Samba and FIR No. 15/2022 u/s 454, 380, 411, 201 IPC of PS Bari Brahmana.
A police team comprising of SHO PS Vijaypur Sandeep Charak and PSI Ankush Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary apprehended the thief.
“A total of 151 thieves have been arrested and 76 theft cases have been solved by Samba Police in past 11 months and stolen property worth lacs of rupees including gold/silver ornaments & cash has been recovered”, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam said.
