Prominent social-political activist from Ladakh, Sajjad Kargili has urged the LG administration to take necessary steps for immediate airlifting of Kargil bound stranded passengers in Jammu and Srinagar.
He requested LG Ladakh, and Indian Air Force to kindly arrange few sorties of IL76 between Jammu-Leh and Srinagar-Leh for smooth facilitation of elderly people, students and women.
Taking to micro-blogging site X, he stated “Kargil bound stranded passangers in Jammu demanding IL76 Sorties. There are thousands of stranded passengers in Jammu and Srinagar. It is requested to kindly provide 1L76 between Srinagar-Leh and Jammu -Leh to facilitate swift airlifts for stranded passengers, including elderly and students”.
In another post on X he said “Thousands of passengers including elderly people, students and women from #Kargil stranded in Jammu and Srinagar. It is requested to Hon’ble @lg_ladakh and @IAF_MCC to kindly arrange few sorties of IL76 between Jammu-Leh and Srinagar-Leh. @HMOIndia”.
