JANUARY 19(Gulistan News Tv) :The Mumbai Police arrested a man, who allegedly stabbed actor Saif Ali Khan at his Mumbai residence on January 16, in Maharashtra’s Thane early on Sunday. The attacker, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, confessed to entering the actor’s house and committing the crime. Shehzad, 30, who worked with a housekeeping agency in Thane, was arrested at a labour camp near a metro construction site at the Hiranandani Estate in the city. He entered Saif Ali Khan’s home with a burgalry motive, and he will be presented before the court for judicial custody, police said.Speaking to the media, a senior official of the Mumbai Police said, “documents seized from Islam indicate that he is a Bangladeshi national and illegally entered India. He entered India five-six months ago and then reached Mumbai.”Police further said the accused had multiple names, like Bijoy Das, Vijay Das, Mohammad Illyas and BJ.The police further said that the accused had been working at different places in Mumbai and Thane for the last five-six months. Days before the arrest, he had been working at a construction site with a contractor, the police said.After the attack on Saif Ali Khan, the accused was constantly watching news channels and tracking news, police said, adding that he had also switched off his phone fearing arrest.
